ABOUT CORRADO RUSTICI
The story of a Transmodern Musician
Corrado Rustici was born in Naples (Italy) into a very musical family.
His older brother Danilo was the founding member of the progressive-rock band “Osanna”.
At the age of 16, he formed the legendary progressive-rock band “Cervello”.
After the release of Melos (Cervello’s only studio album), he moved to London with his brother Danilo, where they formed the jazz-rock band “Nova”.
The band released 4 albums and in 1977, they moved to Los Angeles.
In 1979, Narada Michael Walden invited Corrado to join him in San Francisco to form a band and a production team, which later included Randy Jackson, David Sancious and Walter Afanasieff.
The group went on to produce a great number of international hits for Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Herbie Hancock, George Benson and many others.
The experience propelled Corrado into becoming one of the most successful italian producers of recent years.
From 1987 to today, he has discovered and produced many Italian stars, including 11 albums for Zucchero Sugar Fornaciari, Andrea Bocelli, Elisa, Pino Daniele and many others (see short list below).
As a solo artist he has released several albums, including :
“The Heartist”, “Deconstruction of a postmodern musician” (featuring Allan Holdsworth, Steve Smith and Paul McCandless), “Blaze and Bloom - Live in Japan” (A trio featuring Corrado on guitar, Steve Smith on drums and Peter Vettese on keys) and “Aham”.
In 2019, he released the album “For the beauty of this wicked world”, a collaboration with acoustic guitarist Peppino D’Agostino and the album “Cervello – Live in Tokyo 2017”.

And in 2021 he released his latest solo album “Interfulgent”.
In 2024 he published his first book "Breviario del produttore artistico" and he continues his production work, while also developing software and musical instruments for DV Mark.
Corrado has been involved with some of the most successful albums made over the past 40 years.
